Dental Technology
Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
At the Dentisterie Intégrale clinic, the technology we use helps to inform treatment planning and ensures that each consultation is runs smoothly. In addition to helping improve our patients' comfort, these technologies can enable precision work and a quicker visit in the treatment room.
Because we can display digital X-rays and scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms, we can show you any issues in your mouth and walk you through your treatment plan.
Our goal is to provide patients with dental care while making sure they are fully informed about their oral health.
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays use digital sensors to produce highly detailed computer images of the teeth, gums, as well as other oral structures.
Panoramic Radiographs
Panoramic X-rays capture a complete image of your mouth and are often used to plan treatment for braces and dental implants.
Dental Lasers
Dental lasers can be used for a variety of soft and hard tissue procedures, helping to reduce pain and the need for a medical intervention. Lasers are often used to remove devitalized tissue or rapidly harden dental restorations.
Intraoral Scanners
Intra-oral scanners use a fast intra-oral scanning system to capture a digital image of your teeth in a few minutes. These devices enable your dentist to obtain highly accurate data to design digital replicas of your mouth's tissues.
Oral Cancer Screening Device
The VELscope® is an oral cancer screening device that identifies oral abnormalities and diseases, such as cancerous and precancerous lesions, using fluorescence visualization technology.
TVFC Scanner
Cone-beam tomography generates 3D images of dental structures, soft tissues, nerve pathways and bones in the craniofacial region. The images produced by TVFC scanners can help in sleep apnea treatment planning, as well as other procedures.
CEREC® Same-Day Restorations
CEREC® technology is a system that allows for the fabrication and placement of ceramic dental crowns, inlays and onlays in a single consultation at our dental clinic in Edmundston.
